Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday!!  Yay candy!

So today was a fun day.  Mom surprised me and the kids and got us 4 ducklings.  They are thee sweetest ever babies!!  Look at this picture! How can you not just love them?

The boys, who have never seen live baby anything’s were in awe.  Ethan kinda backed away across the room, as he fears just about every and anything that moves.  Aiden was just expressionless staring at them, trying desperately to figure out what they were.   They have since warmed up to them and today Ethan said he may even try to hold one some day.
Since I grew up with ducks, chickens, goats, roosters etc… I’m extremely comfortable with the duckies and am holding mine all the time. I named him Jib Jab, because that’s all he does is tweet and tweet.  He’s so damn cute! It really was a big big surprise

Very Eastery! Very fun! The kids loved their Easter baskets.  Aiden especially loved all the pirate stuff he got.  Check out the pics!

The Easter Bunny hid eggs too! So the kids got to look for them after they went through their Easter Baskets!! :)

I agreed to let Ethan go to his dad's after he opened his Easter basket despite it being "my" year to have him.  Ethan wanted to go so I figured why not?  So around 10am Eric came by and picked him up. Later on, my brother and his friend Kevin came over.  Kevin is really tall and really outgoing.  He even played with the kids.  My sister and her boyfriend John also came by too, but sadly  John gets very car sick and it’s a good hour and a half drive to get here from where they live. Needless to say he spend a good part of the day in the bathroom sick as could be. awww I felt so bad. :(

My Mom made a nice spiral sliced brown sugar glazed ham, a pot roast with amazing gravy, some broccoli, green beans and mashed potatoes and a small pan of roasted potatoes.  Dinner was amazing and everyone loved it.  I made a really cute bunny shaped carrot cake for dessert.  Take a look!

We got to play outside too.  We played frizbee, and football. We also all took turns using Ethan’s sling shot. Using a rubber bouncy ball, we tried to his the frizbee as a target.  None of us could do it and so the fun fizzled out quickly. I took the duckies outside, it was warm enough out and I was wanting to see them on the grass.  They were so cute, very shy and nervous about it but soon began nibbling at the grass and trying run around.  It was fun, but we didn't want them to get cold as they are just babies, so we brought them back in.

The house really looked nice.  I bought Mom some flowers, mini daffodils, and pink tulips.  She really loved them and it helped decorate the house nicely.  I got some of my Easter stuff and shared with her too.  Mostly it was stuff of Mima’s that I was able to save.  Mom of course loved displaying it.  So over all the day was a success.
